Teardrop flag sizes
We print teardrop flags in five heights: extra small (about 1.8 m), small (2.3 m), medium (2.7 m), large (3.7 m) and jumbo (4.65 m). Small and medium suit footpaths, café fronts and indoor events. Large and jumbo are for roadside visibility, car yards and big open fields where you need to be seen from the car park. Every flag includes a pole, a printed flag and a ground spike for grass.
One side or both sides?
A single sided teardrop flag is printed on one side and the ink shows through, so the back reads as a mirror image. That is fine for a flag against a wall or one that is mostly seen from one direction. A double sided flag has two printed layers with a blockout liner, so your logo reads correctly from both ways. For a flag on a busy footpath or in the middle of a field, double sided is worth it: a medium double sided teardrop is $258.
Pick the right base
The ground spike is included and works on grass and soft ground. For paving and indoors, use a cross base ($57 extra) or a cross base with a water bag. For windy, exposed spots, a 10 kg flat base is the safest choice. There are also car wheel bases for car yards, wall brackets and a bracket that clamps to a marquee leg, so your flag stands right beside your printed marquee.
Teardrop or feather?
Teardrops have a rounded top and keep their shape well, which makes them easy to read. Feather flags are taller and narrower, with more room for a vertical word or phone number. Our teardrop vs feather flags guide compares the two side by side.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a custom teardrop flag?
Prices start at $161 for an extra small single sided teardrop flag with ground spike, including delivery. A large double sided teardrop flag is $291.
Are teardrop flags waterproof?
The printed polyester knit handles rain and sun well and dries quickly. Take flags down in strong winds and store them dry to keep the colours bright.
Can I order just the flag to fit my old pole?
Replacement flags only are quoted on request. Tell us your pole type in the order notes and we will confirm it on your proof.
What artwork works best on a teardrop?
Keep the logo near the top and the wording big and short. The curved shape cuts off corners, so we lay your artwork out on the real template and show you exactly what prints.
